MENA Open Data & Evidence Lab
Funding & Independence

Commissioned work operates under a separate disclosure regime.

The Lab may undertake commissioned institutional research. Commercial revenue does not convert a client into a research partner, and commissioned work does not silently inherit the status of public-interest research.

Commissioned-output disclosure

Where permitted, each commissioned output records the funder or client, whether publication rights exist, whether the client reviewed drafts, whether the client can suppress findings, and the conflict status.

Research independence

The Lab does not label client review as external scientific review. Client acceptance is not independent reproduction. Funding cannot change source records, validation labels or correction obligations.

Public research firewall

Public datasets, methods and publication records retain their documented evidence state regardless of commercial relationships. Commissioned material is identified as commissioned and is reported separately in the annual disclosure record.

Current disclosure

No institutional client case study is currently published in the external-use ledger. When paid work is completed, revenue and disclosure treatment will be reported in the annual report at an appropriate level of confidentiality.
