A source-linked descriptive note using monthly consumer-price releases from Jordan's Department of Statistics. It reports the official headline annual and month-on-month rates without converting the six observations into a regional stress score or causal claim.

Interpretation

The first-half pattern supports a narrow descriptive statement: Jordan's published annual headline CPI rate increased materially between January and May, then was almost unchanged in June, while the monthly rate had cooled substantially from its March–April pace. This note does not identify the component contributions to that movement and does not infer household welfare effects from headline CPI alone.

Evidence perimeter

The six observations are the official monthly headline annual and month-on-month rates stored in the Lab's Observatory release candidate. They are not the cumulative year-to-date averages. The wider Observatory remains a release candidate and has not yet passed its independent source-audit gate.
